Not quite an epiphany:

Whenever my trains of thought end up in the trainyard, I always remember a few things that are so obvious and basic that it's a wonder they aren't "old sayings". Then I forget them again. Luckily, I was near my computer when I remembered this one:

Every single societal problem I can think of is caused by one of two things. People who take themselves/their causes too seriously, or people who obsess over things.

Seems kind of obvious, I know, but who else writes this shit down? Someone ought to. Also, I had nothing else to write.
